Frequently Asked Questions

After graduating from PMC, you will be prepared and qualified to enter the fast-growing medical industry. Our courses focus on providing you with the entry-level skills needed to start working as an allied health professional. The curriculum is designed to help students earn nationally-recognized certifications, which are highly valued by employers in the field.

Textbooks are not required—PMC will provide you will all needed course materials. However, we do recommend certain textbooks for each course, since the publishers of these textbooks provide valuable, supplemental online resources.

Our courses are designed with scientific principles of online learning to provide you with the necessary tools for success. The LMS includes features such as guided material, the ability to re-watch videos, retake quizzes, review detailed course notes, and use of pre-made flashcards to aid in the learning process. With the resources provided, you are well-equipped to succeed.

The fees for national certification exams are not included in the course tuition. However, PMC has partnered with American Allied Health to provide our graduates with discounted national exam fees and a streamlined registration process. Upon completion of the course, you will be given a unique discount code, which you can use to register for the national exam.

Other programs add unnecessary material that is not relevant to the skills and theory that allied health professionals actually use on the job. This leads to higher tuition costs and longer time in school. PMC focuses on providing the essential theory and skills needed for employment. This approach helps us to keep tuition costs low and get our students to work faster.

PMC’s platform is compatible with all modern web browsers and either Apple or PC/Android systems. The learning portal may be accessed via desktop computer, laptop, Chromebook, tablet, and mobile devices. You will need an internet connection.

Petra Medical College does not offer financial aid directly, but we do collaborate with state and local sponsorship programs that can cover the course fees for eligible students through our Partner Portal. If you are interested in this option, we recommend reaching out to any potential funding organization to inquire about the possibility of being eligible for one of their programs, and have them contact us if they are not set up in our Partner Portal.

Our online classes are self-paced, allowing you to start at any time and progress through the material at your own pace. The estimated time of completion for each course is provided on the course's homepage (e.g. 4 weeks). Your course must be completed within one year of enrollment date.
